Private Practice
What does "private doctor" mean?
A private doctor is a physician who does not have contracts with public health insurance providers. This means that treatment costs are billed directly to you and can then be submitted to your health insurance company/supplementary insurance provider for reimbursement.
Your needs and concerns are my priority – from scheduling appointments to follow-up care. This allows you to schedule appointments and treatments according to your individual wishes and needs. I take ample time to address your concerns and provide you with personalized and comprehensive advice.
Pharmacies accept prescriptions from private doctors just like prescriptions from public health insurance providers. Similarly, medical institutions process referrals from private doctors, such as X-ray referrals.
Therefore, no complicated approval process is necessary! You initially pay the fee privately at the doctor’s office. You will receive an invoice, which you can then submit to your health insurance company for reimbursement. In most cases, you will receive up to 80 percent of the amount your health insurance company would have paid a contracted doctor for the same service. Most private health insurance companies reimburse 100% of the costs of services provided by a private physician.
